Ethan joined Structural Graphics in 1997. He has a long career in the Graphic Arts, having been born into a family with three generations in commercial lithography. He has held executive positions in two advertising agencies, opened and managed a New York City sales office for a major national printer, and prior to joining Structural Graphics, opened and managed a successful new printing company in New Jersey for a multi-national prepress company. Ethan was born a Midwesterner in the great state of Kansas, but left there at age 17 when he immigrated to Israel, lived and worked there for five years, including serving two and one-half years as a combat engineer in the Israeli Army. Ethan returned to the US, and graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1981. His career has taken him to Kansas City, Dallas, New York City, and Carlstadt, New Jersey, until settling in Essex, CT, home of our corporate headquarters. He lives there with his wife Rona, and son Mac. When he isn't putting out fires on projects at work, he is putting out fires in the neighborhood - literally. Ethan is a volunteer firefighter with Essex Fire Engine Company No. 1, and holds national certifications in firefighting, as well as holding both national and state EMT medical certifications. Ethan serves on the board of directors for the Essex Ambulance Association, and is active in various community activities geared towards public safety and awareness.
